Ascot’s NAP: UNCLE BRYN | 3:40pm National Racehorse Week Handicap | Dom’s Pick
A hugely disappointing effort in the Dante followed a creditable Blue Riband third but there is still a feeling like this Sea The Stars son hasn’t lived up to expectations.
However, he’s been gelded since his last appearance in May and represents a top yard who are in-form, with a drop-down in trip looking a significant factor here.
He won in September on his debut a year ago and this looks a winnable contest to get back on track.
NB: LOVE IS GOLDEN | 3:05pm Victoria Racing Club Handicap
This contest looks fairly straightforward on paper and the most solid option is Mark Johnston’s colt.
He is off an unchanged mark from his Hamilton second at the end of August and this isn’t the strongest race up in grade.
The North Yorkshire yard have only one runner in Berkshire on Friday afternoon and that looks an interesting factor here.
