The final day of the Ayr Gold Cup meeting kicks off on Saturday, with the meeting’s headline event topping the schedule at the Scottish course.

The action in Ayrshire kicks off with a one-mile Nursery Handicap at 1:20 and concludes with a 1m5f Handicap at 5:20, with the Ayr Gold Cup pencilled in for 3:40.

Our team have taken a look through the card in hope of pinning down some value across the contests.

Here are a trio of selections to consider for the final day of the Ayr Gold Cup Festival.

MUSIC SOCIETY – 2:30 AYR (14/1 – Coral + Ladbrokes)

Representing Tim Easterby, Music Society could produce a big run in the Silver Cup.

The six-year-old has been fairly consistent for his connections as of late, placing in the Goodwood Stewards’ Cup, the Scottish Stewards’ Cup and the York Dash Handicap.

The gelding should benefit from the booking of 5lb claimer Ella Mccain and he could well be in the mix, with his price of 14/1 holding each-way appeal.

MARIE’S DIAMOND – 4:15 AYR (12/1 – bet365)

Hailing from Mark Johnston’s yard, Marie’s Diamond could prove to be of some interest in the 1m Handicap.

The five-year-old has slipped out of form on his last two outings, but he is now 1lb below his last winning mark.

Mark Johnston
Marie’s Diamond heads to Ayr for Mark Johnston

The faster ground should suit him and he holds C&D form, with his price of 12/1 looking interesting.

TITAN ROCK – 4:50 AYR (15/2 – William Hill)

After failing to justify favouritism at Epsom last month, Titan Rock aims to bounce back at the first opportunity in a 7f Handicap for John Quinn.

The gelding has been inconsistent at the best of times this season, but he did land success over a mile when only 4lbs lower in the ratings.

He should prefer the conditions here and he could be competitive in this company, with his price of 15/2 looking great value.
