A winner at Chepstow in August, Tony Carroll’s six-year-old is 3lb higher having had two runs since which included a creditable third of six at Ripon last time.
But Emma Taff, claiming 7lb, now returns to the plate after the pair’s Welsh exploits proved fruitful two months ago and he now gets upped to one mile for the first time in his 51-race career.
The Sir Prancealot gelding could be worth chancing on that merit and he presents plenty of market appeal, with Yanifer perhaps the one to beat.

A six-time bridesmaid in his last seven starts, the son of Cable Bay was a winner at Chepstow in July sandwiched in-between so clearly knows where the winning line is.
He’s probably consistent more than progressive but is only 1lb higher than his Goodwood second and the winner has gone in again since, giving the contest a nice form boost.
Despite carrying top-weight, this doesn’t look an overly strong contest and it’ll be disappointing if he can’t land the odds here.
