The three-day meeting gets underway on Wednesday, with seven races on offer for punters on the first day.
The team has taken a look at the entries, in hope of finding some winners across the card.
Here are their three best selections for the opening day of the Chester May Festival.
Hailing from David O’Meara’s yard, Star Of Lady M could put up a big performance in the opening contest at Chester.
The Havana Grey filly has struck on both occasions for her connections and has shown promise over the minimum trip so far.
The two-year-old is yet to run on ground quicker than soft, but that shouldn’t be an issue here.
Her price of 5/4 looks fair and she’s likely to be the best of the bunch in this contest.
Despite coming up against a seriously hot favourite, Changingoftheguard could well be worth siding with in the Chester Vase.
The three-year-old is fairly similar in terms of ratings compared to New London, with the former’s price looking better value here.
The Galileo colt’s yard has an incredible record in this race, with Aidan O’Brien holding a record nine victories in the contest.
Changingoftheguard should stay this trip, with his price of 9/2 holding more appeal than the favourite.
An interesting filly from Andrew Balding’s yard, Typewriter could run a cracker in the Listed Cheshire Oaks.
The three-year-old put up a respectable two-year-old campaign, striking twice in five starts for her connections.
The daughter of Gleneagles should appreciate a bit of cut in the ground here and she’s been handed a nice draw towards the inside rail.
This is a completely different calibre of race compared to her previous outings, but she has something about her and she could push into the places on her first start in Listed company.
