NEW SCEINCE: 2:30pm Chesham Stakes (Listed) – Connections took this with Pinatubo two years ago and Charlie Appleby looks to hold the ace card here. The son of Lope De Vega made a sparkling first impression on debut at Yarmouth last month and could be well up to the task here.

DREAM OF DREAMS: 4:20pm Diamond Jubilee Stakes (Group 1) – Last season’s Sprint Cup victor made a pleasing return to action at Windsor and will relish the testing conditions. He’s finished second in this race in the last two year’s and surely his misfortune is due a turn at the third time of asking, with Starman‘s only disappointing run coming at this track and making him a slightly questionable favourite.

BELLOSA: 3:05pm Jersey Stakes (Group 3) – Jane Chapple-Hyam’s is 2 from 2 at Newmarket and bids to defend her unbeaten record here against the boys. She took a Listed event in good style and will bid to throw the gauntlet down from the front here under Richard Kingscote. After being nicely campaigned so far, she’s been kept fresh for this and presents plenty of value in an open field.

MORANDO: 6:10pm Queen Alexandra Stakes (Conditions Race) – Andrew Balding’s charge has had two spirited outings so far this campaign and his best performance came at this track in the Long Distance back in October. He has never been tested over this trip but feels the impression the emphasis on stamina will suit and represents connections who won this contest two years ago.
