The second day of the Derby Festival gets underway this afternoon, with the headline event taking place on the Epsom Downs on Saturday.

The racing action in Surrey starts at 2.00 and concludes at 5.50, with the Derby penciled in for 4.30.

We have taken a look through Saturday’s card in hope of finding some cracking value at Epsom.

Can our team pick out another winner on day two? Here are the three value selections for Saturday’s racing at Epsom.

Parent’s Prayer – 2.35 Epsom (15/2 – Various)

With the downpour of rain softening up the track during Friday, Parent’s Prayer has snuck into contention for the Group 3 Princess Elizabeth Stakes.

The four-year-old landed the Listed Garnet Stakes over a mile at Naas on soft ground in October before finishing second on her seasonal reappearance in the Group 3 Express Stakes back in March.

She wasn’t far away in the Chartwell Fillies’ Stakes over seven furlongs last month but she should appreciate the return to the extended mile at Epsom.

With Champion Jockey Oisin Murphy booked in, she could well hint at some value in this contest.

Mokaatil – 3.45 Epsom (33/1 – Various)

A big-priced outsider hailing from Ian Williams’ yard, Mokaatil could bounce back to form in the Dash Handicap.

The six-year-old has slipped out of form in recent months, but he is back down to a handicap rating of 82 which is his last winning mark.

His course experience will benefit the gelding, as he claimed success over six furlongs here back in 2019.

Ian Williams will be hoping Mokaatil will return to form on Saturday Afternoon

If Mokaatil is back to his best, he could push for the places at the large odds of 33/1.

Frontispiece – 5.15 Epsom (20/1 – bet365)

A consistent sort from Amanda Perrett’s yard, Frontispiece could prove to be each-way value in the 1m4f Handicap.

The gelding has finished in the top four runners in his last five starts and has shown his versatility over distance and ground type.

He has been bumped up in class here, but he is at a decent mark where he can push for the places.

With Jim Crowley booked in to take the saddle, Frontispiece could push into the frame here.
