The Epsom Oaks Flat Race is the fifth and featured race of Ladies Day, Day One, of The Epsom Derby Festival that takes place at Epsom Downs Racecourse every Summer.

Offering two days of exceptional horse racing, The Epsom Derby Festival consists of two seven-race cards and features the likes of The Epsom Oaks, The Surrey Stakes, The Princess Elizabeth Stakes and The Epsom Derby.

About The Race

The Epsom Oaks Flat Race is a Class 1 flat race that serves as the featured race of Ladies Day at The Epsom Derby Festival every June.

Exclusively open to horses aged three years old, The Epsom Oaks Flat Race runs 1 mile, 4 furlongs and 6 yards of Epsom Downs Racecourse and featured eight runners at the rearranged meeting last July.

Although this race usually offers a purse worth over half a million pounds, the rescheduled meeting last Summer offered a reduced prize pool worth £250,000, which was shared between the placing horses in the following fashion:

1st place – 11/10 Love (IRE) – £141,775

2nd place – 6/1 Ennistymon (IRE) – £53,750

3rd place – 7/4 Frankly Darling (GB) – £26,900

4th place – 16/1 Queen Daenerys (IRE) – £13,400

The Epsom Oaks Flat Race will begin at 16:30 on Friday the 4th of June 2021.
