About The Race

The Epsom Mile Handicap Flat Race is a Class 2 handicap flat race that serves as the second race of Oaks Day at The Epsom Derby Festival every June.

Open to horses aged four years old and above, The Epsom Mile Handicap Flat Race runs 1 mile and 113 yards of Epsom Downs Racecourse and featured fourteen runners at the most recent edition back in 2019.

£50,000 was the prize pool last time out, which was shared between the first four finishers in the following fashion:

1st place – 10/1 Gossiping (GB) – £31,125

2nd place – 11/2 Seniority (GB) – £9,320

3rd place – 6/1 Greenside (GB) – £4,660
