The Class 4 Handicap Flat Race is a Class 4 handicap flat race that serves as the final race of The Season Finale every September at Epsom Downs Racecourse.

Horses aged three years of age and above can participate in The Class 4 Handicap Flat Race, which runs just 7 furlongs and 3 yards of Epsom Downs Racecourse and usually features a moderately sized field of runners.

£11,600 was the final purse of the day in this race in September 2019, which was split between the first four race finishers as follows:

1st place – 9/4 Zeyzoun (FR) – £6,469

7/2 priced second-favourite Canford’s Joy finished a length and three-quarters behind Swanton Blue in second place, followed by 10/1 priced Crosse Fire in third place and 8/1 priced Your Choice in fourth.

2017

Ridden by jockey Josephine Gordon and trained by Phil McEntee, 10/3 priced race favourite London won The Class 4 Handicap Flat Race at Epsom’s Season Finale in 2017.

5/1 priced joint second-favourite King Of Swing finished three and a quarter lengths behind London in second place, followed by 6/1 priced Storm Cry in third place and 5/1 joint second-favourite Munfallet in fourth.

2016
