Taking place on the glorious grounds of the Epsom Downs on the final Sunday of September every year, The Epsom Season Finale features a magnificent seven-race card which includes the likes of The Nursery, The Derby ‘Wild Card’ Conditions Stakes and The Apprentices’ Derby Stakes among others.
Epsom Downs Racecourse is one of the most prestigious racecourses in The United Kingdom, known mainly for The Epsom Derby, however, there are in fact four other fantastic meetings that take place here every season, which can be witnessed by upwards of 130,000 spectators thanks to its positioning on The Epsom Downs in Surrey.

The Season Finale Handicap Flat Race is a Class 3 handicap flat race that serves as the third and featured race of Epsom’s Season Finale at Epsom Downs Racecourse every autumn.
Open to horses aged three years old and above, The Season Finale Handicap Flat Race runs 1 mile, 2 furlongs and 17 yards of Epsom Downs Racecourse and usually features a fairly small field of runners.
A share of £20,000 was up for grabs last time out, which was split proportionately between the first four horses to cross the finish line. Here’s how much was allocated to each placement position last time out:
