The Westminster Handicap Flat Race is the first race that is run for The Epsom Spring Meeting at Epsom Downs Racecourse every April.

The Epsom Spring Meeting is an outstanding horse racing affair that offers six fantastic flat races including The Derby Trial which grants its winner automatic entry into The Epsom Derby in June.

About The Race

The Westminster Handicap Flat Race is a Class 3 handicap flat race that serves as the opening race of The Epsom Spring Meeting at Epsom Downs Racecourse every April.

Open to horses aged four years old and above, The Westminster Handicap Flat Race runs just 5 furlongs of Epsom Downs Racecourse and featured seven runners last time out.

The last edition of this race offered a purse worth £20,000 to the first four finishers of the race. Here’s how much each placement position received:
