Accumulators are one of the most popular forms of gambling across a multitude of sports and horse racing is no exception.
Instead of simply placing single bets on a number of events, you can multiply your odds by adding all of your selections to an accumulator. This means you can win much more from a smaller stake, however, all of your selections will need to be winners in order to receive a payout. It’s all or nothing.
Meetings like The Epsom Derby Festival are the most exciting events to wager on, as you can include all of the feature races in a single accumulator and have them culminate with The Derby itself.
How To Place An Accumulator
There’s a good chance you already know how to place an accumulator bet even if you’ve never placed one before as the bet type is so prominent within the majority of bet slips.
Simply add four or more selections to your bet slip and select the accumulator option under the list of multiples. A £10 bet is a bet on all of those selections to win their respective races. If any lose, the entire accumulator loses.
Other Multiples Types
There are a plethora of ways to wager on your selections, from singles to jackpots. Here are some of the most common and popular multiples bet types:
Three picks and four bets – three doubles and a treble – make up this bet. To ensure a return, at least two choices must win. A £2.50 Trixie, for example, will cost £10. A £2.50 one-way Trixie will require a £20 stake.
Three singles, three doubles, and one treble are part of this wager. It’s a three-single version of a Trixie. A £2.50 patent, for instance, would be £17.50.
A four-selection bet with 11 bets – six doubles, four trebles, and a fourfold. To ensure a return, at least two of your picks must win. A £2 Yankee, for example, would cost £22.
A Lucky 15 is a very popular multiples option consisting of four choices and, as its name suggests, 15 bets – four singles, six doubles, four trebles, and a fourfold. It’s like a Yankee, but with four singles and just one pick that has to win to guarantee a profit. A £2 Lucky 15 will, for example, cost £30.
There are plenty of other bet types to choose from for those who like betting on a wide variety of potential outcomes. Check the bet slip at your favourite betting place to see what other multiples are eligible for the races at Aintree’s fantastic racecourse.
