The countdown to the biggest racing meeting of the summer continues, with only five days remaining until the start of Royal Ascot.
The action kicks off on Tuesday afternoon and features three Group 1 contests on the opening day, before concluding on Saturday.
Our team have taken a look through some of the specials on offer for the meeting and have selected a few that could be worth backing.
Here are five specials to consider for next week’s meeting.
Willie Mullins to train a winner at Royal Ascot 2021 (10/11 – Sky Bet)
Willie Mullins may well be one of the best trainers in the National Hunt sphere, but the Irish native will be sending some runners to compete on the flat.
The Closutton trainer has nine entries across the five-day meeting, so it would not be the biggest surprise if Mullins landed a winner at Ascot next week.
Battaash to win the 2021 King Stand Stakes by 2L or more (9/4 – Sky Bet)
He may have endured a few setbacks so far this year, but the ability and pure talent that oozes from Battaash is simply too much to ignore.
The star sprinter could well return with a bang here and he won this contest by 2 ¼ lengths last season.
Stradivarius to win both the Ascot Gold Cup and Goodwood Cup (5/2 – Sky Bet)
Another flat racing star to make his seasonal reappearance at Ascot, Stradivarius aims to match Yeats’ record of four Gold Cups.
If he is at his best, the son of Sea The Stars should win this with ease and then comfortably follow up in the Goodwood Cup.
Desert Dreamer to win any race at Royal Ascot (10/1 – Sky Bet)
An exciting two-year-old from Stuart Williams’ yard, Desert Dreamer could be one to watch if she heads to the Berkshire track next week.
It is likely that she would run in the Albany Stakes, but it may be a safer bet to take this option in case.
How many USA Trained winners will be at Royal Ascot 2021 – Two (16/1 – Ladbrokes)
A large price to consider, but it could well pay off if Wesley Ward’s previous record at Royal Ascot is anything to go by.
The most successes the American trainer has achieved at the meeting in one year is two and with nine of his runners competing in six contests, two victories could well happen.
