The Group races continue on the third day of Glorious Goodwood, with the Gordon Stakes next up on Thursday’s card on the Chichester track.

WORDSWORTH (11/4) has been fairly consistent for Aidan O’Brien this season, with the Galileo colt finishing in the top three in all five of his starts this season.

The three-year-old finished second in the Queen’s Vase before claiming third in the Irish Derby. He ran a cracker in the Grand Prix de Paris, finishing behind the impressive Hurricane Lane in second.

The colt does arguably carry the best form for this contest and looks the one to beat in this contest.

THIRD REALM (4/1) also holds some interest here, as the Sea The Stars colt claimed success against Adayar in the Derby Trial Stakes at Lingfield back in May.

That form was reversed in the Epsom Derby however, as Roger Varian’s runner finished 11½ lengths behind his rival in fifth.

The softer ground here should play to his strengths here and he is one to watch out for in this contest.

YIBIR (4/1) has made steady improvement this season and could follow up his Bahrain Stakes Trophy success here for Charlie Appleby, while O’Brien’s SIR LUCAN (8/1) got the better of stablemate Wordsworth in Listed company back in May.

OTTOMAN EMPEROR (9/1) aims to land a four-timer on his first start in Group company for Johnny Murtagh and Andrew Balding’s YOUTH SPIRIT (9/1) hinted at some ability when claiming the Chester Vase Stakes.

ALEAS (12/1) is stepped up in trip and class following his Listed success at Hamilton earlier in the month for Ralph Beckett, while David Menuisier’s BELLOCCIO (16/1) will need to improve following this season’s form.
