The third day of Glorious Goodwood kicks off on Thursday, with a seven-race card on offer for punters.

The action gets underway with a 1m2f Handicap at 1:50 and concludes at 5:20 with a 5f Handicap.

The Group 1 Nassau Stakes is the feature race of the day in West Sussex, which is scheduled at 3:35.

Our team have taken a look through the card in hope of tracking down some value.

Here are three selections to add to your calculations on day three of Glorious Goodwood.

NAAMOOS – 1:50 GOODWOOD (12/1 – Various)

After featuring in the Group 1 St James’s Palace Stakes and the Listed Sir Henry Cecil Stakes, Naamoos returns to handicaps for Mark Johnston.

The colt’s rating has shot since taking the plunge into top-class company, but he claimed success over a mile on his last two handicap runs.

The three-year-old has been stepped up in trip but his pedigree suggests he should stay the trip and his price of 12/1 holds each-way appeal.

EBRO RIVER – 2:25 GOODWOOD (11/2 – Various)

After two unplaced efforts in Grouped company, Ebro River could make it third time lucky in the Richmond Stakes for Hugo Palmer.

The Galileo Gold colt struggled with the quicker surface at both Ascot and Newmarket, but the softer conditions here could bring the best out of him.

Both of his career successes have come when there’s a bit of cut in the ground and his price of 11/2 looks great value in this contest.

SIR LUCAN – 3:00 GOODWOOD (17/2 – BetVictor)

Sir Lucan lines up alongside stablemate Wordsworth in the Nassau Stakes for Aidan O’Brien, with the Camelot colt potentially hinting at some value.

The three-year-old got the better of Wordsworth on his last start, snatching victory in the Listed Yeats Stakes by a neck in the final strides at the Curragh.

The softer conditions and Frankie Dettori booked in are a bonus and his price of 17/2 is one to seriously consider.
