Earlswood – 3.45 Curragh (22/1 – Various)
Hailing from Johnny Murtagh’s yard, Earlswood could prove to be worth some value in the Irish Derby at the Curragh on Saturday.
The three-year-old landed some black type on his last start, winning comfortably in the Group 3 Gallinule Stakes last month.
He pushed into the lead with a furlong remaining and saw the race out well, claiming success by a length and three quarters from Aidan O’Brien’s Arturo Toscanini.
The son of Pivotal will need to show further progress on his step up into Group 1 company here, but he could have more to offer on his first start over 1m4f.
At a price of 16/1, Earlswood could push into the frame here.
