Moonlighting – 2.45 Salisbury (14/1 – Betfair)
A Class 5 Fillies’ Handicap over a mile holds the day’s each-way bet, with a filly hailing from Tony Carroll’s yard potentially holding some value.
Moonlighting makes her return to action after a seven-month absence and could well strike at a big price on her seasonal reappearance.
The four-year-old showed some promise last term and has proven her versatility on several ground types, finishing second in tough conditions at Leicester on her last start on turf.
Carroll’s filly did finish second over a mile on good ground at Musselburgh last June and is only 2lb higher in the ratings here.
If she can deal with the step up in class, Moonlighting could push for the places here.
