A progressing filly makes the cut for the each-way selection at York on Friday

Hailing from Charlie Appleby’s yard, Divine Light is the day’s each-way selection in the Listed Oaks Farm Stables Fillies’ Stakes at York.
The filly got off to a strong start on her debut back in October, winning a maiden fillies’ stakes on soft ground at Newmarket.
She produced a far from disgraced performance at the same course last month, finishing sixth in the Nell Gwyn.
Appleby’s runner was headstrong a tad early and was troubled by some of the more experienced talents in the field, but she should learn from the experience and could produce a bigger effort here.
With a current price of 18/1, Divine Light could sneak into the places in this contest.
