Kynren – 2.40 York (14/1 – bet365)
The Hambleton Handicap holds the day’s each-way bet, with a nicely handicapped runner from David Barron’s yard potentially holding some place value.
Kynren was slightly underwhelming on his seasonal return in the Lincoln in March, which resulted in a 3lb drop in the ratings.
The seven-year-old gave a much better account of himself five days ago when he overcame a tough draw to land second in a Class 2 handicap at Chester.
He retains the same mark of 98 here, which is the rating that he claimed second in both the Lincoln and the Victoria Cup back in 2019.
Kynren should not be phased by a bit of cut in the ground, and he could run a cracker at York with a decent price of 14/1.
