2020 Oaks heroine Love will bid for a fourth Group 1 as she makes her 2021 debut in the Prince Of Wales’s Stakes at Royal Ascot on Wednesday afternoon.
Aidan O’Brien’s filly recorded three top-level successes as a three-year-old last campaign, including when securing the Guineas and Oaks double.
She was last season sweeping home in the Yorkshire Oaks back in August and now bids to dethrone defending champion, Lord North.
Also in contention is Love’s stable-mate Armory, who readily took the Huxley Stakes at Chester a month ago, albeit Ballydoyle retained rider has switched allegiances to the daughter of Galileo.
Speaking to the Racing Post, O’Brien said: “We were delighted with what Armory did at Chester and everything has gone well with him since.
“All has gone smoothly with Love so far too.”
Former Hampton Court successor Sangarius is a lively outsider for Sir Michael Stoute, but found the aforementioned Armory too strong at Chester last time out.
