Following on from a great opening day of racing at Royal Ascot, the team has made their Lucky 15 selections for day two of the five-day meeting at the Berkshire course.
The second day has four Group races on the card, with the Group 1 Prince Of Wales’s Stakes being the standout contest.
After searching through the entries, the team has picked out four runners to combine into a Lucky 15 ahead of the second day’s racing.
Here is their Lucky 15 for day two of Royal Ascot
2:30 Ascot – Katey Kontent (9/1)
An intriguing filly from Clive Cox’s yard, Katey Kontent could run a cracker in the Queen Mark Stakes for her connections.
The two-year-old won convincingly in novice company and with the quicker ground in her favour at Ascot, she could run well if she shows further progress.
3:05 Ascot – Al Qareem (11/1)
After landing success at the Dante Festival last month, Al Qareem goes for Royal Ascot success in the Queen’s Vase.
The gelding is stepped up in trip and class here and while it looks like a tough assignment, he could show further progress and push into the frame.
5:35 Ascot – Wodao (14/1)
A promising two-year-old from Donnacha O’Brien’s yard, Wodao could put his experience to use in the Listed Windsor Castle Stakes.
The showcasing colt broke his maiden tag at the fourth time of asking last month and he could make further strides forwards in pursuit of some black type here.
6:10 Ascot – Improvised (15/2)
A smart filly under the guidance of David O’Meara, Improvised could be at the perfect mark in the Kensington Palace Handicap.
The four-year-old ran a cracker at Musselburgh last time out and she could have more in the tank at this level.
