LUCKY 15 | Royal Ascot – Day 3

The team reveal their Lucky 15 selections for day three of Royal Ascot

Royal Ascot General

After a cracking two days of racing at Royal Ascot, the team have named their four runners for their day three Lucky 15 at the Berkshire course.

The third day has four Group races on the card, with the Ascot Gold Cup featuring on the card at Ascot.

After tearing up the card, the squad has selected four runners for their Lucky 15 for Thursday’s racing.

Here are their selections for day three of Royal Ascot.

2:30 Ascot – Pillow Talk (8/1)

An interesting filly from Karl Burke’s yard, Pillow Talk could push the likes of Walbank and The Antarctic all the way in the Norfolk Stakes.

Her pedigree suggests there could be more to come from this two-year-old in the sprint distances and the quicker ground should not pose a problem here.

3:05 Ascot – Israr (8/1)

Following on from his first handicap success at Newbury last month, Israr could show further progress in the King George V Stakes Handicap for John & Thady Gosden.

He has a 6lb rise to contend with but he should remain competitive off his mark and the step up in trip should suit him.

5:00 Ascot – Barley (33/1)

A big-priced fancy in the Britannia Stakes, Barley could claim a first career hat-trick if he lands success at Royal Ascot.

Freddie & Martyn Meade’s is only bumped up 3lbs for his latest success and with a handy draw, he could come close for his connections at a decent price.

5:35 Ascot – Maksud (9/1)

Hailing from Hughie Morrison’s yard, Maksud could show a rapid level of improvement in the Hampton Garden Stakes.

The gelding is still relatively unexposed and he could well have more in the locker on only his third career start.
