The final day of the July Festival gets underway on Saturday, with another seven-race card on offer for punters at Newmarket.

Racing gets underway in Suffolk with a 7f Maiden Fillies’ Stakes at 1.30 and concludes with a 1m4f Handicap at 5.00.

Our team have taken a look through the cards in the hope of picking out some value in the contests.

Here are three selections to consider for the final day of the July Festival.

AUSTRIAN THEORY – 3.15 Newmarket (25/1 – bet365)

An unexposed colt from Mark Johnston’s yard, Austrian Theory could make further progress in the Group 2 Superlative Stakes.

The two-year-old knuckled down well to win by a neck on debut at Doncaster and he gave a willing impression on his only start.

He holds a massive price tag of 25/1 for this contest and the Awtaad colt could well be in the frame here.

MOTAKHAYYEL – 3.50 Newmarket (13/2 – Various)

A C&D winner in this contest last year, Motakhayyel could well strike again in the Bunbury Cup for Richard Hannon.

The gelding has won two of his three starts at the course and just held by Glorious Journey in the Criterion Stakes last month.

He is at a lofty mark but that shouldn’t be a worry, with 13/2 holding some appeal for the Shadwell representative.

BARENBOIM – 5.00 Newmarket (12/1 – Various)

Making his handicap debut and his first start over 1m4f, Barenboim could prove to be each-way value at 12/1 in the final race of the July Festival.

Having had wind surgery, the Golden Horn colt is bumped up in trip after two promising runs over a mile for Michael Bell last year.

Hollie Doyle

Hollie Doyle is booked in which is a bonus and his pedigree suggests he should stay the distance here.
