The colts feature in the second Group 1 contest of the day at Newmarket on Saturday, with 10 runners declared in the 6f contest.

PERFECT POWER (2/1) takes favouritism for the contest following his Group 1 success across the English Channel for Richard Fahey.

The Ardad colt dealt with his rivals comfortably in the Prix Morny, fending off late pressure from Trident to land success by a length and a quarter.

The two-year-old should have no issues in this level of company and he could well be heading to the winners’ enclosure once again.

DR ZEMPF (11/2) makes the trip across the Irish Sea for Ger Lyons, after running a cracker to finish second in the Keeneland Phoenix Stakes last month.

The Dark Angel colt has only three runners under his belt, storming to success on his debut before finishing fourth and second in Group contests at the Curragh.

The two-year-old could well have more in the locker and he is one to watch out for in this contest.

ASYMMETRIC (15/2) returns to British soil after finishing a respectable third in the Prix Morny for Alan King, while James Stack’s CASTLE STAR (8/1) will hoping for some showers overnight with his best efforts coming in softer conditions.

GO BEARS GO (8/1) is given another crack at Group 1 level for David Loughnane after finding a few rivals too good for him at the Curragh and Richard Hannon’s ARMOR (9/1) is bumped up in trip after failing to justify favouritism over the minimum distance last time out.

CATURRA (10/1) turned in his best performance to date in the Flying Childers Stakes at Doncaster earlier in the month for Clive Cox, while Michael O’Callaghan’s TWILIGHT JET (25/1) is dropped back down in trip after finishing third in the Champagne Stakes at Doncaster.

Aidan O’Brien has a duo of runners entered into the contest, with HMS ENDEAVOUR (18/1) and NEW YORK CITY (33/1) both taking their first chance to land some black type for their connections.
