The five-year-old was poor when dropped down to the minimum distance on his last start, as he finished nine and three-quarters lengths off the pace at Nottingham.
He carries C&D from, with his latest success coming here when he was only 1lb lower in the ratings last year.
The gelding will relish the return to six furlongs here and he could well be competitive with a 5lb claimer booked in the saddle.
