Under the guidance of Gay Kellerway, Vasco Da Gana could produce a big effort in the one-mile Leger Legends Classified Stakes at Doncaster.

The gelding has given two respectable efforts since being dropped back down in distance, finishing third and fourth on the all-weather at Chelmsford.

Could Vasco Da Gama strike for Gay Kellerway?

He is yet to strike on British soil, but he should appreciate the quicker ground with his best performance coming in these conditions at Windsor back in June.

The four-year-old has Jumps legend Noel Fehily in the saddle, which could well benefit him in this company.

At the price of 11/1, Vasco Da Gama could well be in the mix here.
