King Of Comedy – 3.10 Curragh (16/1 – Various)
All eyes will be on Broome in the Alleged Stakes tomorrow afternoon, but there is some each-way value to be found in the Group 3 contest.
King Of Comedy fits the bill here and the ex-John Gosden runner could produce a big effort on his second start of the season.
The five-year-old was beaten by a distance by Broome on his stable debut under Jessica Harrington, but that run can be excused due to the soft ground.
The former Heron Stakes winner has previous experience in Grouped company, finishing a neck behind Aidan O’Brien’s Circus Maximus in the St James’s Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot in 2019 and two lengths behind Japan in the Juddmonte International as a three-year-old.
Harrington’s new recruit should be more competitive in better conditions here and could well give Broome more of a challenge this time around.
At 16/1, King Of Comedy could well be in the each-way mix if he can rediscover his previous Group form.
