Mariesque – 3.25 Curragh (33/1 – Various)

Hailing from Joseph O’Brien’s yard, Mariesque could well be a surprise contender in the Irish Oaks at the Curragh.

The filly has only made three starts to date, with her last start in Listed company catching the eye.

She wasn’t near the leading group entering the home straight, but she made up a respectable amount of ground late on to finish four and three-quarter lengths off the pace in fifth.

The three-year-old is still relatively unexposed and she could well have more to offer as she makes her first start at this trip.

At the price of 33/1, Mariesque could push into the frame here.
