Ed Dunlop’s recruit was the outsider of four runners in the Listed Coral Moral, but he defied his 8/1 price tag to claim success by a length and a half.
The eight-year-old has been dropped down in trip but he produced a fine effort at York in June over 1m6f and could well produce another big effort.
The booking of Hollie Doyle is a bonus and the better conditions should suit him in this contest.
At the price of 12/1, Red Verdon could well be in the mix here.
