After a cracking first day of racing at Royal Ascot, the team have revealed their best bets for the second day of the flat meeting in Berkshire.

Day two’s card has four Group races pencilled in, with the Prince Of Wales’s Stakes being the highlight of the day.

After ripping apart the declarations, the team has named their three best selections for the second day.

Here are their best bets for day two of Royal Ascot.

NAP: BASHKIROVA – 4:20 Ascot (5/1 – bet365)

An interesting filly from William Haggas’ yard, Bashkirova could be one to note in the Duke Of Cambridge Stakes.

The four-year-old carries some strong form, landing some black type for her connections last time out when winning the Princess Elizabeth Stakes at Epsom on Derby Day.

She has made a respectable level of progress in recent months and she deserves her chance to land Group 1 success here.

The quicker surface should suit her and she could push the likes of Saffron Beach and Mother Earth all the way here at a better price.

NB: STATE OF REST – 3:40 Ascot (6/1 – William Hill)

Making only his third start on British soil, State Of Rest could put up a big performance in the Prince Of Wales’s Stakes for Joseph O’Brien.

The Starspangledbanner colt has picked up Group 1 success across the planet, landing wins in the Cox Plate in Australia, Prix Ganey in France and the Saratoga Derby in the United States.

The four-year-old has been remarkably consistent at the top level and while he does take on four tough sorts here, he clearly has the ability to be competitive in this contest.

His price of 6/1 feels generous and State Of Rest should be in the mix here.

LONGSHOT: SAN ANDREAS – 5:00 Ascot (40/1 – bet365)

We’re diving into the huge field of the Royal Hunt Cup here, with San Andreas looking a tad overpriced in this contest here for his connections.

The six-year-old has been a little inconsistent as of late, but he carries some interesting form and is sitting at a workable mark.

The quicker ground should benefit him and while he doesn’t carry major experience in large fields, his draw should help him out a bit.

The 7lb claimer should make this task a little less difficult and he does hint at each-way value if he is back to his best.
