Royal Ascot: NOON STAR | 3:40pm Ribblesdale Stakes (Fillies’ Group 2) | Dom’s Pick
We approach the half way point of Royal Ascot on Thursday afternoon with a further seven races on the card, and our team have picked out our best selection of the day.
After her York second was given a boost by subsequent Oaks victor Snowfall, Sir Michael Stoute’s Noon Star looks the form choice and is a worthy favourite based on what she has shown in her career to date.
The Wetherby contest she took in April is working out very well and if anything she took a major step forward across Yorkshire when getting as close to the Aidan O’Brien’s Classic winning filly as anything did on the Downs earlier this month.
She now tackles the mile-and-a-half trip for the first time but this shouldn’t be an issue for the beautifully bred daughter of Galileo and she’s taken to prove too strong for this field under James Doyle.
