SNOWFALL: Frankie Dettori to partner 2021 Oaks queen at Longchamp, Aidan O’Brien confirms

Frankie Dettori will represent Ballydoyle once again on Sunday afternoon when he rides Snowfall at Paris Longchamp in the Prix Vermeille as the pair bid to replicate the filly’s sparkling Oaks win back in June.

Retained rider Ryan Moore is set to honour a book of top-class rides at the Irish Champions Weekend at Leopardstown and will not head over the English Channel, with Dettori set to do the steering on the three-time Group 1 winner.

Speaking to the Racing Post, handler Aidan O’Brien stated: “Plans can obviously change but at the moment it looks like Frankie will be going to France. I don’t know yet who he’ll be riding for us in the St Leger, but it is the plan for him to do that.

“At the moment it’s looking like Ryan will stay in Ireland for both days of Irish Champions Weekend unless something changes.

“Everything has gone well for Snowfall since last time at York. She did very well from the Curragh to York and we’ve been happy with her since – that’s why we felt she’d take another run in between.”
