With the flat season slowly drawing to a close, racing fans were treated to another cracking weekend of action with the likes of the Cambridgeshire featuring among the cards in the UK.

Once again, our team have put their notes together in hope of picking out some runners that could land some success further down the line.

Here are three runners to add to your trackers from this weekend’s action.

ASEAN LEGEND (1:30 Haydock, 2nd)

Asean Legend impressed on his racing debut, after producing a promising performance in a one-mile novice stake at Haydock.

Hugo Palmer’s recruit took on a hot favourite in the contest, but he challenged him all the way as he just fell short on the line by a neck.

The Australia colt finished clear of third and he could easily go one better in the near future.

LUXEMBOURG (2:30 Curragh, 1st)

Aidan O’Brien’s Luxembourg further established his bright prospect status on Saturday afternoon, as the two-year-old demolished his rivals in the Beresford Stakes at the Curragh.

Making the turn towards home, the Camelot colt was held up in last but he produced an electric turn of foot in the final furlong to blitz clear of his rivals.

He went to win by four and three-quarter lengths and clearly has an exciting future ahead of him, making him a must-add to your tracker.

ZOZIMUS (3:40 Newmarket, 4th)

Outrunning his huge odds of 100/1, Zozimus produced a respectable performance in the Cambridgeshire when finishing fourth for Donnacha O’Brien.

The Footstepsinthesand colt raced in the far side, making headway in the final stages to put in front of the 11 runners that side.

Three members of the group on the near side did make it home first, but the three-year-old kept on to take fourth and he could well be effective over this distance in the future.
