The final day of the Dante Festival gets underway on Friday afternoon at York, with another seven-race card on offer for punters.
The racing action kicks off with the Marygate Fillies Stakes at 1.40 and concludes with a 1m4f handicap at 4.50.
Our team have picked apart the card in hope of finding some value in Yorkshire.
Here are our three selections that could strike this afternoon at a decent price.
Creative Flair – 2.10 York (15/2 – bet365 + William Hill)
A filly with a likeable attitude, Creative Flair could show further progress in Listed company at York.
Charlie Appleby’s recruit got off the mark last August when winning a 7f maiden at Sandown, and she grinded out a hard-fought victory in a conditions stakes at Ascot over a mile on her season reappearance last month.
The daughter of Dubawi proved her stamina last time and may want further in time, but she should be able to take on tougher oppositions here.
With a price of 15/2, Creative Flair could land some black type here.
Pivoine – 2.40 York (25/1 – Various)
With two wins over course and distance in three starts here, Pivoine could produce a big effort at large odds in the 1m2½f handicap.
Andrew Balding’s gelding failed to fire on his seasonal reappearance, but the return to York could rejuvenate the seven-year-old.
He has slipped down the ratings and is now 12lbs below his last winning mark, which did come over C&D.
With an eye-catching price of 25/1, Pivoine signals potential each-way value in this contest.
Get Knotted – 3.40 York (12/1 – bet365)
A handicapper that suffered regression last season, Get Knotted could rediscover his form in the 7f handicap.
Michael Dods’ servant has racked up three C&D wins over his career, with his last coming at 15lbs high back in July 2018.
The nine-year-old finished last of four runners on his seasonal reappearance at Ayr last month, but the gelding could spark back into life at the course he holds a good record at.
With a price of 12/1, Get Knotted could bounce back to winning ways here.
