After a few quiet weeks, flat racing returns with a bang at York with several top-class contests scheduled at the Ebor Festival.

The action begins on Wednesday afternoon and concludes on Saturday evening.

Racing action returns to York on Wednesday

Our team have taken a look through the main contests pencilled in and have devised an ante-post Lucky 15 to follow throughout the week.

Here are four selections to consider at the Ebor Festival.

WEDNESDAY – JUDDMONTE INTERNATIONAL STAKES – LOVE (11/4 – bet365)

It didn’t go to plan for Aidan O’Brien star filly in the King George last month, but the drop back down in trip for Love in the Juddmonte could spring her back into the winners’ enclosure.

She has a length and three quarters to find on Mishriff, but she was dominant in the Yorkshire Oaks last season and should appreciate the return to York.

THURSDAY –  YORKSHIRE OAKS – ESHAADA (7/1 – Betfair)

Hailing from Roger Varian’s yard, Eshaada could prove herself in Group 1 company in the Yorkshire Oaks.

The three-year-old is massively unexposed and she caught the eye when finishing second in the Ribblesdale Stakes, with the filly holding a nice price tag of 7/1.

FRIDAY – NUNTHORPE STAKES – SUESA (11/4 – Sky Bet)

Francois Rohaut’s Suesa stormed into the picture when getting the better of Dragon Symbol and Battaash in the King George Qatar Stakes and she could continue her strong form at York on Friday.

The three-year-old has won five of her six career stars and the return to Group 1 company shouldn’t phase her in the slightest here.

SATURDAY – EBOR HANDICAP –  Ilaraab (14/1 – Betfair + PP)

William Haggas’ Ilaraab returns to handicap company after running in the Hardwicke Stakes and the four-year-old could be of some interest with a 14/1 price tag.

The Wootton Bassett colt has made rapid progress in the ratings after remaining unbeaten in four starts in handicaps.
