The first day of the York Ebor Festival gets underway on Wednesday, with a seven-race card on offer for punters in Yorkshire.

The action on the Knavesmire gets underway with a 5½f Handicap at 1:50 pm before concluding at 5:20 pm with a 6f Nursery Handicap.

Our team have searched through the card in hope of tracking down some value across the contests.

Here are three value picks to add to your York calculations on the opening day of the Ebor Festival.

FUTURE INVESTMENT – 4:10 YORK (12/1 – Various)

After returning to form on his last two starts, Future Investment could prove to be of some value in the 2m½f Handicap.

Ralph Beckett’s gelding was just held when finishing second at Ascot over 1m6f last month before running into third at Glorious Goodwood.

The five-year-old has won over this distance and holds cracking value at the price of 12/1.

FOUR ADAAY – 4:45 YORK (12/1 – Various)

Hailing from Rod Millman’s yard, Four Adaay could bounce back to winning ways in the 5f Filles’ Handicap.

The three-year-old has landed success on three occasions this season, but she slumped on her latest start at Newmarket.

The Adaay filly can be forgiven for her last start, with her price of 12/1 holding some each-way appeal.

INSTINCTIVE MOVE – 5:20 YORK (20/1 – Various)

A runner that is potentially overpriced for this contest, Instinctive Move could well have more to offer in a 6f Nursery Handicap.

Clive Cox’s recruit scored on debut at Bath back in May, but he struggled in the Listed Dragon Stakes when finishing eight and a half lengths off the pace in fifth.

The Showcasing colt could have more in the locker and could thrive over six furlongs, with his 20/1 price tag holding huge value in this contest.
