He continued his prominent rise at Royal Ascot, after justifying favouritism in the Group 3 Hampton Court Stakes even though he was pushed on slightly early.
The three-year-old is given his chance in higher class company and he faces some interesting rivals on his first start in Group 2 company.
Huxley Stakes winner Armory aims to return to winning ways after finishing third in the Prince Of Wales’s Stakes last month, while Keyin Ryan’s Juan Elcano returns to Grouped competition following two successes in Listed company.
Montatham is the second string representative for William Haggas, while Andrew Balding’s Bangkok and Scott Dixon’s Ebury are the outsiders in the contest.
Mohaafeth could well deliver once again here and he currently holds a price tag of 6/4 to claim success at York.
